The Application may collect facial images (selfies or uploaded photos) voluntarily provided by users for the purpose of skin analysis.

Facial images are used solely to analyze visible skin characteristics, including but not limited to:

  • Smoothness
  • Acne and other skin-related features

Important Clarifications:

  • Facial images are not used for identity verification or facial recognition
  • No biometric identifiers or face recognition templates are created or stored
  • Facial images are not used to uniquely identify a user

2.2 Non-Personal and Usage Data (Automatically Collected)

The Application may collect non-personal Usage Data, including:

  • Device information (device model, operating system)
  • Application usage statistics (session count, duration)

  • Skin analysis metadata (scan type, frequency, timestamps)
  • Technical image properties (resolution, lighting metadata)

What We Don't Collect:

The Application does not collect directly identifying information such as: email address, phone number, passwords, payment information, government IDs, Apple ID, or Google ID.

3. Use of Collected Information

Collected information is used for the following purposes:

  • Performing skin analysis and generating personalized results
  • Displaying skin scores, reports, and progress tracking
  • Enabling before-and-after comparisons
  • Improving AI models and application functionality

Facial images are never used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or identity verification.

4. Data Retention

  • Facial images and generated skin reports are retained until the user deletes them or terminates their account
  • Usage Data related to service operation and analytics is retained for up to 3 months
  • Aggregated and anonymized statistical data may be retained for longer periods
  • Complaint and dispute records are retained for 3 years, as required by applicable law

Upon user deletion or account termination, facial images are permanently removed from the system within a reasonable technical timeframe.

Facemate does not sell or share facial images with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Pseudonymized or aggregated non-personal data may be shared with third parties solely for:

  • Analytics
  • Cloud infrastructure

All third parties are required to comply with applicable data protection laws and confidentiality obligations.
